Until We All Reach Maturity | SbD Wk05

In this message, Pastor Rodney discusses what biblical church leadership is ultimately meant to produce: a healthy, mature body of believers growing together under the leadership of Jesus. Looking at Ephesians 4:11–16, we see that Christ gives leaders to His church not to do all the ministry themselves, but to equip His people for works of service so that the whole body may be built up.

When we keep Jesus as the head, pursue maturity in His truth, speak the truth in love, and each do the work Christ has entrusted to us, we become more than a well-organized church—we become a church growing together into the fullness of Christ.

The goal isn't simply better structure, rewritten bylaws, or clearer leadership roles. The goal is a church that is shepherded well, equipped for ministry, grounded in truth, and faithfully helping the next generation know and follow Jesus.

Keep the Scripture open. Pray for wisdom and humility. Participate in discernment. And above all, keep seeking Christ together.
