What does biblical church leadership look like? How can spiritual leaders exercise authority without becoming controlling? And are we willing to be shepherded by others?
In this message, Pastor Rodney continues our Shepherded by Design series by exploring 1 Peter 5:1–5 and the biblical responsibilities of elders. We discover that healthy church leadership isn't about power or position. It's about faithfully caring for God's people under the ultimate authority of Jesus Christ.
Through Scripture, Pastor Rodney explains how elders are called to shepherd, protect, and guide the church with humility, courage, and accountability. But shepherding also requires something from the congregation: a willingness to be known, receive biblical correction, and actively care for one another.
The goal isn't simply to establish church leadership. It's to become a church where people are genuinely known, faithfully cared for, and growing together under Jesus, our Chief Shepherd.
