Life is better in the kingdom.
We live in a world that constantly promises a better life.
More success. More comfort. More control. More freedom. More influence. More possessions. More approval.
Yet despite having more than previous generations could have imagined, many people find themselves exhausted, anxious, distracted, disconnected, and searching for something more.
In the Sermon on the Mount, Jesus offers a radically different vision of life. Standing before the crowds, He describes a Kingdom unlike anything they expected. In a culture that celebrated power, status, and self-promotion, Jesus spoke of humility, mercy, purity, forgiveness, generosity, trust, and surrender.
His words were surprising then, and they remain surprising today.
Again and again, Jesus reveals that what the world often calls "life" cannot ultimately satisfy the human soul. The things we chase in hopes of finding fulfillment frequently leave us empty. But the way of Jesus—though it may seem upside down to the world—leads to the life we were created to live.
This seven-week journey through Matthew 5–7 is not merely a study of Jesus' greatest sermon. It is an invitation to become His apprentices. Jesus is not simply teaching us how to behave; He is teaching us how to live. As we learn to seek first His Kingdom, we discover that God's design for life is better than anything we could build for ourselves.
